I'm Josie, a Sydney-based 24 year old food & fitness blogger and qualified nutrition and weight loss coach. I am originally from the UK but have lived in Sydney since January 2015.
So why do I have this blog?
Well, growing up I always had to watch what I eat - throughout school I was very overweight and got a lot of stick for it. I am just one of those people that put on weight very easily and unfortunately I also absolutely love food... bad combo! Before heading to University I realised I needed to make a change because I was so unhappy and felt so ashamed. I lost a lot of weight in a very short amount of time using VERY unsustainable methods (e.g. 500 calories a day everyday... something I'm not proud of). This restrictive way of eating led to a variety of problems, one of which was binge-eating - this has been my biggest obstacle to overcome.
I’ve now found a way to sustain my weight without any fad yo-yo diets – consistency. Consistency is key. Eating the right foods means we can focus much less on calorie-restricted diets and find food freedom instead.
I started this blog to share with you my knowledge that I've learnt along the way through educational reading and nutrition courses. I am also a bit of a fitness fanatic - I LOVE working out! I lift weights 4 or 5 times a week and try to squeeze in one or two sessions of cardio as well - running is my therapy.
